ICeMakingICE TECHNICIAN
The Ice Technician Training Program has been developed by the Canadian Curling Association for the benefit of its members and the betterment of curling. The Southern Alberta Curling Association hosts both Level 1 and Level 2 Ice Technician Courses.

The courses include topics such as:
Ice Maintenance, Ice Installation, Water Quality, Sealing, Flooding, Pebbling, Painting, Power Scraping, Hand Scraping, Propane Burning, Washing the Ice, Major Maintenance, Temperature, Frost Heaving, Energy Costs, Curling Stones, System Maintenance, Brine, Refrigeration.

Hands on experience is emphasized.
